Some days are harder than others But I pray for strength from my Heavenly Father The world as we used to know it changed People carry heavy hearts Lord please shine Your light on us And let love lead the way As I say Still I rise In the midst of this pandemic Lord I know I’m gonna manage Still I rise To my maker I’m indebted Grateful I’m still on this planet And then I peep outside of my window to discover Families trying to reach out to their sisters and their brothers The world as we used to know it changed People carry heavy hearts Lord please shine Your light on us And let love lead the way As I say Still I rise In the midst of this pandemic Lord I know I’m gonna manage Still I rise To my maker I’m indebted Grateful I’m still on this planet In the midst of adversity, plaques and natural catastrophes I rise Through evil man’s conspiracies and virtual insanities still I rise With my head above the waters I wake up and grind For my sons and daughters still I rise Lord I’m grateful for the breath of life amidst this pandemic and strife still I rise May your creation live to see brighter days and new horizons, fresh morning dew And the African sun rise Still I rise Still I rise In the midst of this pandemic Lord I know I’m gonna manage Still I rise To my maker I’m indebted Grateful I’m still on this planet Still I rise In the midst of this pandemic Lord I know I’m gonna manage Still I rise To my maker I’m indebted Grateful I’m still on this planet

about

GOGO Music is proud to present this new single release by Ralf GUM who teams up with one of South Africa’s top soulful vocalist Earl W Green to deliver an uplifting song with current reference in the lyrics, titled “Still I Rise”.

Ralf GUM’s music career dates back to 1990 when he started out as a DJ before establishing himself three years later as a full-on institution within the industry with own productions. Since then he graced dance-floors globally with his exceptional DJ sets and equally with outstanding record releases. With 4 celebrated long-players, countless single releases, collaborations and remixes, he managed to become a crucial part within the House Music and music industry in general. Fast forward to 2021 Ralf currently goes from strength to strength and delivers already his third single release on GOGO Music this year. With “Still I Rise” he returns to a more classic sound, but as always adds his fresh twist to it, which results in a playback that builds the perfect backdrop for Earl W Green to deliver his soulful tones.

Native born South African Earl W Green is a professional singer, songwriter, recording artist, performer, music producer and sound engineer. He is most famous for his silky-smooth, soulful yet powerful vocals. He studied Jazz piano and boasts an international sound engineering diploma. He has travelled to the UK in 2004, where he lived and joined a few indie groups and church choirs. That’s where his talent for singing was discovered and nurtured. His professional music career began in 2010 when he returned back to the motherland and since then he never looked back. In 2019 he was rated number 45 on Traxsource’s Top 100 best vocalists and he sky rocketed to number 16 for the same category in 2020. With a plethora of projects, Earl W Green is now rendered a “house-hold” name globally.

GOGO Music is very excited to present this collaboration between Ralf GUM and Earl W Green as it fits perfectly into our catalogue of meaningful songs. “Still I Rise” thematizes the current pandemic, as Earl sings and writes from the heart, after family members of him contracted the virus- Luckily they all recovered and sometimes it unfortunately needs disruption to keep on rising.
